How to rotate a PDF on Android

Fix a page that scanned in sideways or upside-down — right on your phone, free, with nothing uploaded to a server.

Scanned documents often come out rotated the wrong way, and reading a sideways page on a phone screen is annoying. With PDF42 you can fix one page or the whole document in a few taps.

Rotate a PDF in 4 steps

  1. Open RotateIn PDF42, open Tools and tap Rotate.
  2. Pick the PDFChoose the file with the page that needs fixing.
  3. Rotate the pageTap a single page to rotate it, or rotate every page at once.
  4. Save the fixed fileSave or share the corrected PDF.
How this is different

Most PDF viewers only let you rotate your view temporarily — the file itself stays sideways for the next person who opens it. PDF42 actually rotates the page data and saves it, so the fix sticks for anyone who opens the file afterward — on-device, no watermark.

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. PDF42 lets you rotate individual pages independently, which is useful for scanned documents where only a few pages came out sideways while the rest are fine.

Will this affect other pages or the text?

No. Rotating only changes the page's orientation — text, images and form fields are unaffected and stay exactly where they were, just turned the right way up.
